The Golden Lure- National Freshwater trolling championship is a social fishing tournament hosted by Fishing Freshwater & Smak Lures. It is a Trolling tournament using bibbed hardbody lures only. Alternating between BP Dam and Boondooma Dam in South East Queensland it will be a once yearly event on the 3rd or 4th weekend in October (October 18, 19 2024 @ Boondooma Dam*) . We invite all Australian made hardbody bibbed lure makers to attend, compete and display their products. Lure makers can do this. Invite your favourite lure maker along. With few free beverages and music on Friday & Saturday night, it sets the scene for a relaxed family environment for all attendees to minlge, talk fishing and buy and sell lures.
The tournament has no pre-fishing ban, so if you want to come for a week before hand you can.
There will be prizes for 1st-3rd In the 'Most fish' category (The winner getting 'The Golden Lure' trophy. There is also a trophy and prize pack for 1st place for biggest Bass and Biggest Golden Perch as well as 1st-10th for your six biggest fish over the weekend. There will also be prizes for random lengths and there will be a few lucky draw prizes as well.

There is a limited number of spots available. Previous years entrants do have priority then its first in best dressed. You are not considered registered until you have paid in full and all paper work has been returned.
